New project, Audi S5 steering wheel

today i was busy installing my audi S5 2012 steering wheel.
.
the steering wheel is much thicker then the thin steering wheel we now all have.
.
i took out the steering wheel buttons from my own steering wheel and put them in the S5 steer because my own steer had much more buttons.
.
only need airbag and i am finisht.

The important part of this thread is this post:

If this post is correct and the S5 has the same airbagsystem as the A5, the airbag systems of the A1 and the A5/S5 are incompatible and the airbag won't work in an accident.

Maybe the guy who postet this list is wrong. I have no idea, but if I am in your place, I won't take the risk, that the airbag won't work.

Can you tell me the Audi part number of the Audi S5 wheel ?

Project finisht

today i did get the airbag for the S5 steering wheel ,
.
I changed the wiring end installed the wiring from my audi A1 airbag ,
.
took out the S5 logo out the steering wheel and intalled the S line logo.
.
now i am finisht .

left upper picture the difference between left S5 airbag end right the A1 airbag.
.
right upper picture , finisht S5 airbag with completed A1 wiring .
.
lower picture finisht steering wheel.

i think the steering wheel is too big for this car

 

its not bigger then the originel steering wheel only thicker.

How do you manage the second airbag stage?

What about your old steering wheel? Do you offer this? I am interested in. If it is possible I would have the airbag itselfe.
